Cancellation fees (GDRFA Dubai)

Residence cancellation and entry permit cancellation are two different services with different fees.

Cancelling a residence visa

• The sponsor’s passport.
• The passport of the sponsored person.
• For private-sector employees: the work permit cancellation extract issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE).

GDRFA requires the MOHRE cancellation first. See work permit cancellation. Processing time is 48 hours.

Cancelling an entry permit or visit visa

You need a copy of the sponsor’s passport. For tourist visas the host must be a tourism agency; for medical visas, a recognised medical facility.

1. Apply on the GDRFA Dubai smart app (Apple Store or Play Store) or go to an Amer centre.
2. Select the cancellation service and attach the documents.
3. Pay the fees and submit.
4. You receive an SMS and email with the status. Missing documents must be added within 30 days or the request is cancelled.
